Each class has a boy on the committee to bring important messages back to his class and teacher.
We have already had 3 meetings this year to chat about how we can help save energy in the school.
Some ideas we had at the meetings:
- turn off lights and close the door when leaving the classroom
- switch off the projector and laptop when not in use
- keep the classroom temperature at 18°C
- make sure furniture isn't blocking the heaters
- at the end of the day, turn everything off at the switches so it doesn't waste energy overnight
We will now have a competition to see which class can save the most energy!
The winning class will be announced in December!
